The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Confidentiel 2024 is a rare white cuvée that lives up to its name: discreet, refined and quietly expressive. Sourced from a small, south-facing vineyard with light, sandy soils overlooking Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the wine offers elegance paired with remarkable freshness. Aromas of citrus and ripe pear are layered with subtle toasted notes. On the palate, it is smooth and vibrant, showing a delicate salinity and a beautifully balanced interplay of fruit, acidity and gentle oak. Crafted from Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Roussanne, and fermented and aged on fine lees, this is a wine that delights today while possessing the structure to evolve gracefully over time. Ideal as an aperitif or with grilled fish, scallops and shellfish.
Domaine Tourbillon - Châteauneuf-du-Pape Confidentiel – 2024
The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Confidentiel 2024 is a rare white cuvée made from Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Roussanne, grown on a small, south-facing parcel overlooking the village. This unique sandy, filtering terroir brings brightness, delicacy and a remarkable mineral freshness to the wine.
It shows a pale yellow colour with green reflections and aromas of citrus, pear and roasted nuts. The palate is balanced and elegant, with a fine, saline texture and a lingering freshness.
Perfect as an apéritif or with fish, scallops or shellfish, it can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 years. Serve at 12 °C to appreciate its full aromatic finesse.
Comprising 60 % Grenache Blanc, 20 % Clairette and 20 % Roussanne, the grapes come from vineyards just a few hundred meters from the Château de Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The sandy, well-drained soil allows perfect ripening and produces wines of remarkable purity.
Harvesting is entirely manual, using small crates and strict selection to preserve fruit integrity. Vinification begins with whole-cluster pneumatic pressing under inert conditions, followed by cold settling at 12 °C and fermentation at low temperature in oak barrels. The wine then spends four months ageing on fine lees in oak, using only a peristaltic pump and gravity to protect its natural texture.
